We understand that waiting in lengthy calls to check or cancel an existing appointment can be frustrating for patients. To address this issue, we have upgraded our phone system to include a new 24/7 automated option that enables patients to check the time of their upcoming appointments or cancel an appointment they can no longer make at any time of day. To access this service, simply call the surgery on our usual number (01253 201688) and select the check or cancel service available as option 1. We know how important it is to make it easy for patients to cancel their appointments to avoid wasting appointments that could be offered to other patients in need. However, please note that patients can only cancel their appointments up until 2 hours before the appointment time to allow enough time for the appointment to be offered to another patient.
It is important to mention that while most appointments are cancellable, some more time-sensitive appointments such as baby vaccinations cannot be cancelled through the automated service. If you need to cancel such an appointment, please speak to a member of our reception team.
