Community nurses

District Nurses provide general nursing care and assessments in the community to house bound patients and in the surgery for mobile patients.

They can advise on aspects of nursing care, twilight (night) nursing and provide some aids for the disabled and incontinent. They undertake treatment room responsibilities for dressings, ear syringing, venepuncture, removal of sutures and vaccinations.
