Stay safe and healthy abroad

If you are travelling abroad, you may need to be vaccinated. Travel immunisations are not part of standard NHS services. However, we will provide Cholera, Hepatitis A, Polio, and Typhoid vaccinations in line with our contract for NHS provision. Please note that  Cholera will only be given in extenuating circumstances, as it is usually not required. For further advice, please visit NaTHNaC – Country List (travelhealthpro.org.uk)

Please contact the Surgery via Patchs (at least 6 weeks prior to travel) to complete our travel questionnaire.  Once you have submitted your questionnaire, we will contact you with an appropriate appointment or advice.

Important note:

If you have a complex travel itinerary, we recommend that you visit a private travel clinic for a complete schedule and travel health assessment consultation. Then, you can contact us for your free NHS vaccinations as part of this schedule.

It is important to schedule your first appointment with us at least 12 weeks before you travel so that the vaccines can be ordered. You will need a second appointment to receive the vaccinations, which should be at least two weeks before your travel date in order to allow the vaccines to take effect.

Failure to contact us at least 12 weeks in advance of your travel, will unfortunately mean we are unable to fulfil your request for vaccinations and you will need to seek alternative arrangements.

Poster: Thinking of travelling soon? Plan ahead. We do not offer last-minute travel appointments. You must book your travel clinic appointment at least 12 weeks before departure.
